(On how he’s feeling)
“I’m feeling great, I’m feeling great.”
(On describing his game)
“I would say my game is disruptive, period, point blank.”
(On how much contact he had with the Rams before the draft)
“Before the draft, I talked to Coach ‘Henny’ (Defensive Line/Run Game Coordinator Eric Henderson) probably about three times, me and him had multiple conversation. And I talked to somebody before about just regular things about me, like personal, but only about three or four times.”
(On what he thinks about joining a defensive line with DL Aaron Donald)
“That’s one of my favorite players, what do you mean what do I think about it? I don’t really even know what to say. I don’t even know how to feel. It feels like an out of body experience (laughs).”
(On learning from Donald)
“I’m going to be a sponge as soon as I get there, as soon as I get there.”
(On if he’s been to L.A.)
“I spent 10 minutes in California getting a flight, but other than that, no.”
(On his thoughts of coming to L.A.)
“I’m just ready to play. I’m just ready to get out there.”
(On if he watched the Rams last year)
“Yes, I did. I watched the Rams a lot.”
(On what he saw from the Rams defensive line last year)
“(DL) Aaron Donald (laughs). I hate to say it, and I don’t mean to be disrespectful to anybody else. He’s been one of my favorite players for a minute. So, when I watch the Rams that’s one of the only people I really watch.”
(On any aspects of his game style that are similar to Donald)
“He has a completely different body type and playstyle than I do, but I will definitely take any advice he gives me, any of it, I don’t care what it is. He could tell me how to write on a piece of paper and I’m going to take it.”
(On what the process has been like waiting to get drafted)
“Long. It’s been a long process.”
(On any advice he was given)
“To just be patient. I’m going to get the call that’s right for me and I feel like I got the call that’s right for me.”
(On what it would be like to play reps alongside Donald and hopefully take on double teams)
“Whatever I’m asked to do, I’m going to do it. It’s that simple. If they tell me to get coach water and every game, I have to stay beside him with some water, I’m going to do that to the best of my ability. I’m just ready to do whatever the team needs.”
(On what the moment was like hearing his name called)
“It was everything I dreamed of, it definitely was. But to see my mom cry over something like this – I could never explain that feeling.”
(On what it means to be the second Aggie drafted)
“Honestly, I don’t even really know how to answer that question. It just feels great to be drafted period.”
